SCHOOL & COMMUNITY BASED 

LEARNING 2 BREATHE

A program designed for high school youth to teach mindful awareness, increase emotion regulation, stress management, and executive function in order to support well-being and learning.

LIFE SKILLS

A substance abuse prevention program for grades 6th – 8th proven to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse, and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors

POSITIVE ACTION

A comprehensive social-emotional learning curriculum that helps children grade K – 5th develop self-management skills and encourages responsible decision-making.

COMMUNITY BASED SUPPORT GROUP (CBSG)

A program for ages 4-17, whose high-risk situations, attitudes, and behaviors place them at elevated risk for future behavioral and health problems, including substance abuse, delinquency, and violence.

COMMUNITY COALITION PARTNERSHIPS 

MADISON COUNTY COALITION (MCC)

Comprised of community members in Madison County. MCC aims to reduce underage alcohol. marijuana, and prescription drug abuse and change community norms.

GRIMES COUNTY COALITION (GCC) 

Comprised of community members in Madison County. GCC aims to reduce underage alcohol. marijuana, and prescription drug abuse and change community norms.  

VIKINGS KICKING OUT TOBACCO & OTHER DRUGS (VKOT)

Coalition of Bryan High School students and community members focused on environmental strategies to reduce underage alcohol. tobacco, marijuana, and prescription drug abuse. 

ZERO TOLERANCE COALITION 

A youth coalition for Hearne Junior High students focused on drug prevention techniques that teach leadership skills to help reduce underage alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, and other drug use. 

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN 

BVCASA is the official Red Ribbon Campaign organizer for the Brazos Valley. Activities include various educational programs.

The PRC collects and shares community data, facilitates a regional needs assessment, and coordinates prevention training.
