The following are the available ADMINISTRATIVE position(s) effective immediately:

 

 

POSITION:Accounts Payable Clerk

 

 

 

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

High School Diploma or its equivalent, and a proven accounting background or practical experience;

1. Ability to fluently speak and read Spanish preferred, but is not required;

2. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;

3. Ability to type accurately and ability to use a 10 key adding machine is necessary;

4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, organizations, and the general public;

5. Must have good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets and QuickBooks;

6. Must have experience in accounts payable; general ledger experience in fund accounting is a plus;

7. Ability to work with senior supervisory personnel, to offer work improvement suggestions, and to accept direction.

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

 

Maintain accounts payable by entering charges and credits within allocations prepared by the Director of Finance; able to make allocations;

1. Maintain assistance in accounting records and accounting filing system;

2. Assist/assemble documentation for financial reviews and audits;

3. Perform any other duties qualified to perform as assigned by the Director of Finance.

 

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

 

This is a non-exempt position.

Supervised by and is responsible to the Director of Finance.

POSITION:  Information Systems Technician 

 

 

 

 

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  1. Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent;
  2. Some formal training in computer hardware and software; A+ certification or any other computer-related certification is a plus;
  3. Minimum of two years experience in the field of computer hardware including desktop computers, laptops, and printers;
  4. Minimum of two years with installation, support and maintenance of all versions of Microsoft operating systems;
  5. Must have working knowledge of network topologies, Internet connection, configuration and administration, as well as email set up and maintenance;
  6. Must have extensive knowledge of computer software applications, including but not limited to, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office applications, Acrobat Reader, Symantec Anti-virus software and network security applications;
  7. End User help desk experience;
  8. Experience in maintaining fax machines, copiers and internal telephone systems preferred;
  9. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
  10. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, organizations and general public;
  11. Ability to represent BVCASA with a positive image;
  12. Must have a high standard of professional ethics and integrity within the community and with BVCASA personnel;
  13. Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with Federal Confidentiality laws and BVCASA policies and procedures, and State licensure standards as it pertains to electronic technology;
  14. Ability to enforce computer policy and procedures;
  15. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and a home phone;

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

 

  1. Assist with network management for the support of BVCASA networks at multiple locations for 50+ end users, including internet access, email and network security;
  2. Preform routine backup and security procedures;
  3. Maintain documented network and backup maintenance logs;
  4. Provide ongoing end user help desk support for various software applications, operating systems and hardware needs;
  5. assist with preforming periodic training with end users for application software and hardware;
  6. assist in the procurement and maintenance of the software library;
  7. Install and maintain all Internet email accounts;
  8. Assist in planning and procurement of computer hardware;
  9. Maintain BVCASA internal telephone system including updating phone extension, voice mail directory and long distance codes;
  10. Maintain BVCASA fax machines and copiers, including procuring toner supplies, minor repairs and contacting appropriate repair services;
  11. Maintain current control items inventory including computer systems, printers, TVs, VCRs, and any other items defines as control items by DSHS;
  12. Work as a team member with all staff members to assist in all technical support activities for the overall benefit of BVCASA;
  13. Preform other duties as assigned and qualified to handle by the IT Administrator or Executive Director;
  14. Job descriptions are an outline of general duties needed to fulfill the requirements of the job and may require modification as services and funding needs change.

 

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

 

Supervised by the IT Administrator and ultimately responsible to the Executive Director.
